Mainz, 21 February 2020 – A launch pad for the future. The well-known advena Europa Hotel Mainz in the heart of the city was acquired on 1 February 2020 by the LFPI Group, which already operates 13 hotels in Germany in various categories and under various brands.

"I wanted to be sure that one of my hotels was being put in genuinely good hands", explained the former owner Helmut Herfurth after the contract was signed. "I can now step back, confident in the knowledge that the business will continue to develop and has a strong future ahead." The modern, well-run 3-star city and conference hotel with 98 comfortable rooms will now be run by the LFPI Group. "We were immediately impressed with the hotel – with its location near the historical old town, its great ambiance and its highly motivated team", says Philipp Bessler, director of the LFPI Group. "We are delighted with this charming addition to our portfolio and already have a number of ideas we are looking to implement together with the team. Planning is already underway for extensive refurbishment."

Guests at the advena Europa Hotel remain in the capable hands of previous hotel manager Jürgen Axel and his team. LFPI operations manager Reinier Franssen will help Mr Axel take the hotel into the future. Franssen currently manages the ibis Hotel Aachen Marschiertor and works with a number of LFPI directors.
